Stewart Mace – Director

Stewart Mace has over 44 years of experience in the utilities industry, with extensive knowledge across gas, water, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Beginning his career in the gas sector as a service contractor, Stewart later transitioned into telecommunications in 1992, where he played a significant role in construction, network hauling, and jointing works across major infrastructure projects in Western Australia.

Today, Stewart serves as the Director of North Communications, overseeing operations, project delivery, compliance, and quality assurance. While now working primarily from the office, he continues to provide leadership, industry expertise, and strategic direction to ensure the company maintains its strong reputation for safety, reliability, and high-quality workmanship.

James Mace

James Mace has been working in the telecommunications industry since the age of 15, bringing 27 years of hands-on experience and industry training to North Communications.

Throughout his career, James has worked across multiple operational roles including:

Pit installation
Cable hauling
Directional drilling operations
Copper cable jointing

This broad practical background gives James a strong on-site advantage. His in-depth understanding of field operations means he is well equipped to manage complex works, troubleshoot challenges efficiently, and ensure projects are delivered safely and to specification.

With extensive frontline experience, James plays a key role in coordinating crews, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth project execution across all works undertaken by North Communications.
